Champions League in Spanish: Where to Watch in the US

Spanish-language Champions League coverage in the United States is split between two companies this season, and it changes hands completely a year from now. For 2026-27, TelevisaUnivision's platforms — ViX, TUDN, Univision and UniMás — share the Spanish rights with DAZN, which holds an exclusive streaming package. From the 2027-28 season, Telemundo takes all of it, and every match moves to Telemundo, Universo and Peacock.

Where to watch the Champions League in Spanish in the US right now

TelevisaUnivision has held the US Spanish-language UEFA rights since 2018. Its current three-year agreement expires after the 2026-27 season. In June 2025 it sublicensed a large streaming package to DAZN, and that sublicense runs for the remainder of the TelevisaUnivision term.

Here is how the season divides:

DAZN's own Spanish-language pages advertise 43 live matches with Castilian-Spanish commentary across the season, a figure that combines its exclusive package with the shared knockout games. Former Real Madrid forward José María Gutiérrez ('Guti') and Iván Zamorano are part of its analysis team.

The practical consequence is the one thing most readers need to know: no single Spanish-language subscription covers every match this season. The 38 games DAZN streams exclusively are not on ViX or TUDN, and the matches TelevisaUnivision keeps are not on DAZN. Only Paramount+ carries the complete competition, and it does so in English — no Spanish audio option has been announced for its Champions League coverage.

The 2026-27 league phase opened on September 8, 2026 and runs to January 27, 2027. The final is at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid on Saturday, June 5, 2027.

What the Spanish-language services cost in September 2026

Two honesty notes on that table. DAZN raised its US prices effective after September 10, 2026, and the figures above are the post-increase rates; DAZN does not publish a soccer-only or Champions-League-only price in the US, and its own Spanish-language explainers on watching the competition here omit pricing entirely, so confirm the rate on the signup screen before you commit to a 12-month plan. The live TV prices are drawn from carriage reporting earlier in 2026 and these packages move often — check the current rate card rather than budgeting from this table.

Buying a live TV package purely to reach TUDN is hard to justify. ViX Premium at $5.99 a month is the cheaper route to TelevisaUnivision's coverage, and TUDN's Champions League output is a subset of what the company puts on its own streaming service.

Are any Spanish-language matches free?

Some, yes — but fewer than the English side's CBS simulcasts.

Univision, UniMás and Galavisión are free over-the-air broadcast networks. A $30 to $50 indoor antenna picks them up permanently with no subscription, and they carry selected Champions League matches. The same antenna brings Telemundo, ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX with it. Reception depends far more on your distance from the transmitter and on terrain than on the price of the antenna, so check a coverage map for your address first; an attic or roof mount substantially outperforms a window unit in fringe areas. TUDN is a cable channel and cannot be received over the air.

ViX Gratis, the free ad-supported tier, carries live channels and some sport. Availability varies by fixture and the bigger matches generally require Premium, so treat it as a bonus rather than a plan.

DAZN's package is subscription-only. There is no free route to the 38 matches it streams exclusively.

The 2027 change: what happens to Spanish-language Champions League rights

On July 19, 2026, NBCUniversal announced that Telemundo has acquired exclusive US Spanish-language rights to all UEFA men's club competitions — the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Super Cup and Youth League — for three seasons beginning with 2027-28. Financial terms were not disclosed.

What that changes:

• One rights holder instead of two. The TelevisaUnivision–DAZN split ends with the current season. From 2027-28 every match in Spanish comes from a single company.
• The platforms. Telemundo (broadcast), Universo (cable), Peacock (streaming) and Telemundo Deportes Ahora, the network's free ad-supported sports channel.
• Every match live. NBCUniversal's announcement describes live coverage of every match across the competitions in the deal, alongside studio programming and match-day content produced for US Hispanic audiences.
• The English side is unaffected. Paramount's English-language UEFA deal runs through 2029-30, which is also when Telemundo's three-year term ends. Both packages now expire together — something industry coverage noted could let UEFA sell English and Spanish rights as one bundle next time.

What has not been announced: which Peacock tier the matches will sit on, how the slate divides between Telemundo and Universo, and what any of it will cost. Treat anyone publishing 2027-28 Spanish-language Champions League prices today as guessing.

Is TUDN losing the Champions League?

Yes — after this season. TelevisaUnivision's UEFA agreement expires at the end of 2026-27, and Telemundo's begins in 2027-28. The 2026-27 campaign, ending with the Madrid final on June 5, 2027, is the last one in which TUDN, Univision, UniMás and ViX carry Champions League football.

Two things that follow from that:

Check your renewal date. If you hold an annual ViX Premium subscription primarily for the Champions League, an annual term bought in, say, February 2027 runs months past the point where the competition leaves the service. A monthly plan through the end of the season is the safer shape this year.

The change is specific to UEFA club competitions. The Telemundo deal covers the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Super Cup and Youth League. It says nothing about TelevisaUnivision's other soccer properties, which are governed by separate agreements.

Telemundo and Peacock: what each carries in Spanish

Right now, neither carries the Champions League. That starts in 2027-28. What they do carry in Spanish today is already substantial, and it is the best available guide to how the Champions League will be distributed when it arrives.

Telemundo is a free over-the-air broadcast network. Universo is its cable sibling and needs a pay-TV or live TV streaming subscription. Peacock is the streaming service, and on the sister Bundesliga deal it is the only place carrying every match — the pattern NBCUniversal has used repeatedly.

Peacock's pricing changed on August 18, 2026:

Subscribers who signed up before August 18, 2026 moved to the new pricing on their first billing date on or after September 17, 2026. Spanish-language Bundesliga coverage sits on Premium, which is the strongest available indication of where Champions League coverage will land in 2027-28 — but NBCUniversal has not confirmed it, and prices a year out are not knowable today.
