How to Watch Ligue 1 in the US: Tubi, beIN and PSG Games

beIN SPORTS holds the exclusive US rights to Ligue 1 in 2026-27, and the cheapest legal way in is beIN's own app, beIN SPORTS CONNECT, at $5.99 a month. That is the short answer for PSG and for everyone else in the French top flight.
Tubi shows up in almost every search result for this question, and it is genuinely free — but it is not a Ligue 1 rights holder, and what it actually carries is narrower than the headlines suggest. That is the single most misunderstood part of this topic.
The 2026-27 season runs from August 21, 2026 to May 29, 2027: 18 clubs, 34 matchdays, nine matches per matchweek, with Paris Saint-Germain defending five straight titles. The winter break starts after Matchday 14 on the weekend of December 12, 2026 and the season restarts the weekend of January 2, 2027.
Where to watch PSG games in the US
PSG's Ligue 1 matches air on beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS en Español and beIN SPORTS CONNECT. There is no second English-language home for them. Whichever service you pay, you are paying for a beIN feed.
You can reach that feed four ways:
- beIN SPORTS CONNECT — beIN's own app, $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year; also sold via Prime Video Channels at the same price since August 13, 2026
- Sling TV — beIN sits in Sling's soccer and Latino add-ons
- Fubo — beIN is available as a standalone package and inside Fubo Latino

PSG's Champions League matches are a completely separate purchase: Paramount+ in English, TelevisaUnivision in Spanish, under a deal running through the end of 2026-27. One caveat, stated plainly: beIN's US agreement guarantees a minimum of four live matches per matchweek out of nine, with additional games on the CONNECT overflow feeds. beIN has not published a match-by-match grid for 2026-27, so treat any claim that every Ligue 1 match is available in the US as unverified. PSG is the fixture most consistently selected — but check beIN's weekly TV guide rather than assuming.
Who holds the US Ligue 1 rights in 2026-27?
beIN SPORTS, and it is locked in for a while.
beIN Media Group announced the extension on August 16, 2024: a five-year agreement covering the 2024-25 through 2028-29 seasons, for the United States and Canada. Alongside Ligue 1 it includes Ligue 2 and the Trophée des Champions. The guarantee written into the deal is at least four live Ligue 1 matches per matchweek.
Three rumours are worth clearing up:
- Fox and Tubi did not take Ligue 1. Fox's Tubi carries beIN's free channel, which is distribution, not a rights purchase. Fox did buy Bundesliga rights in February 2026 — for Mexico and Central America, not the US.
- Ligue 1+ is not available in the US. The league's own platform serves France, the UK and Ireland only.
- The 2026 change was in France, not America. The French domestic picture consolidated onto Ligue 1+, with beIN losing its domestic slot. The US contract runs to 2028-29 regardless.
LFP Media has been reported in talks with Apple and Amazon over future rights, but nothing has been announced for the United States and nothing changes before 2029.
Is Ligue 1 free on Tubi?
Partly, and the catch matters more than the answer.
Tubi carries two free, ad-supported beIN channels: beIN SPORTS XTRA and beIN SPORTS XTRA en Español. Both are genuinely free — no account, no credit card, no trial that converts. Ligue 1 is listed by beIN as part of XTRA's programming.
What Tubi does not have is Ligue 1 rights. XTRA is a FAST channel — a scheduled loop that beIN programmes and syndicates to free platforms. Its weekly diet is condensed replays of the weekend's top European action, highlights, South American club football and combat sports. Live Ligue 1 appears occasionally, not on a fixed schedule, and beIN publishes no XTRA fixture list in advance.
That produces two practical limits. You cannot plan around it — there is no way to know on Tuesday whether Saturday's PSG match will be on XTRA, and it usually will not be, because the marquee fixture is the one beIN keeps behind the paywall. And a replay is not a match: the recurring XTRA format is a roughly 30-minute condensed version after the fact, not the 90-minute live broadcast.
The honest summary: Tubi is an excellent free way to keep up with Ligue 1, and a bad way to watch a specific Ligue 1 match. There is no reliable route to watching the full season for free in the United States.
XTRA is not exclusive to Tubi either. The same channel is free on Sling Freestream (no card, no base subscription) and on DirecTV's MyFree tier, channel 4122 — the same content through a different door.
How to watch Ligue 1 without beIN Sports
Strictly speaking, you cannot — beIN's US rights are exclusive, so every legal live Ligue 1 stream in the country originates with beIN. But "without beIN Sports" usually means "without a beIN SPORTS cable channel subscription," and there the answer is much better.
Fanatiz is the most common route. It is a beIN sub-licensee: you subscribe to Fanatiz, not to beIN, and its Front Row plan bundles the beIN SPORTS and beIN XTRA channels (English and Spanish) with Ligue 1 and the French Cup, alongside GolTV, TyC Sports and South American club competitions. There is a 7-day free trial. Prices quoted across 2026 sources range from $9.99 to $12.99 a month, and Fanatiz's own plans page would not load for us — check fanatiz.com before you commit.
Sling's Soccer Pass is a standalone add-on reported at $7.99 a month that includes beIN without a full Sling base plan; Sling Latino, around $10 a month, also includes it. And beIN SPORTS CONNECT through Prime Video Channels has billed through Amazon at the same $5.99 since August 13, 2026, playing inside the Prime Video app.
Two routes people expect to work but do not. YouTube TV does not carry beIN SPORTS — beIN's US streaming distributors are Fubo, Sling, Vidgo and its own CONNECT app. And traditional cable and satellite are unreliable for beIN: DirecTV, AT&T U-verse, Verizon Fios and Xfinity all dropped the channels in August 2018. Some 2026 listings still show a DirecTV Sports Pack route; we could not confirm beIN has returned to DirecTV's paid lineup, so verify with your provider first.
On VPNs: several services carrying Ligue 1 overseas prohibit them in their terms of use, and a US-legal $5.99 subscription is cheaper than most VPNs anyway. Take the local route.

Two honesty notes on that table. Fubo's headline prices moved repeatedly through 2026, and sources published between May and September quote the Pro plan anywhere from $73.99 to $98.99 — but you do not need a Fubo base plan for Ligue 1, so the number barely matters here. The Sling Soccer Pass figure comes from third-party reporting; Sling's own pricing pages blocked our requests, so confirm at sling.com.
The comparison that matters: a full live-TV bundle costs roughly fifteen times what beIN CONNECT does. If yours exists mostly for the Premier League or the Bundesliga, add CONNECT for French football rather than upgrading anything.
Ligue 1 in Spanish in the US
Spanish-language Ligue 1 sits inside the same beIN deal, not with a separate broadcaster. There is no Telemundo or TUDN arrangement for the French league.
- beIN SPORTS en Español — the paid Spanish channel, carrying select matches alongside the English feed. Included with CONNECT at no extra cost, and bundled into Sling Latino, Fubo Latino and Fanatiz.

Because both languages come with a single $5.99 CONNECT subscription, Spanish-speaking viewers do not need to choose or pay twice — unusual among European leagues, several of which split English and Spanish rights between different companies entirely.
Ligue 1 kickoff times for US viewers
Ligue 1 is the friendliest of the big five leagues for American body clocks: nothing starts before 9:00 a.m. Eastern, and the marquee Sunday-night fixture lands mid-afternoon on the East Coast. The 2026-27 matchweek uses six slots across three days, with four matches played simultaneously in the Saturday evening block:

France and the United States are normally six hours apart, which is what the table assumes. Twice a season they are five hours apart, because the two continents change their clocks on different weekends, and every kickoff above then lands one hour later in the US: October 25 to November 1, 2026 (Europe has moved back, the US has not) and March 14 to March 28, 2027 (the US has moved forward, Europe has not). PSG vs Lyon on Sunday October 25 is the clearest example — a normal Sunday-night slot that reaches American screens at 3:45 p.m. ET.
