The Bundesliga is one of the cheapest big leagues to follow abroad — much of it free on Fandango in the US and partly free in the UK and Brazil — and one of the most split at home, where a full season needs both Sky and DAZN.
How to watch the Bundesliga
In Germany the rights are divided by kick-off slot for 2025-29. Sky — or its streaming service WOW — has every Friday and Saturday match, the 15:30 games one by one and the 18:30 top match, plus the relegation play-off and all of 2. Bundesliga. DAZN has the Saturday 15:30 conference, which cuts between the simultaneous games, and every Sunday match. A fan who wants all of it pays for both.
In the United States the English-language rights moved to Versant for 2026-27: more than 270 matches stream free on Fandango, with no login, and more than 30 air on USA Network. In Spanish every match is on Peacock, with more than 100 on Telemundo and Universo. FOX has it across Mexico and Central America through 2030-31, DAZN in Canada, beIN SPORTS in France, Sky in Italy and Viaplay in the Netherlands. Brazil spreads all nine matches of each matchday across several outlets, CazéTV among them, many free.
The UK is the patchwork: Sky Sports has the Saturday 17:30 top match, BBC iPlayer streams Friday matches free, and Prime Video sells Sunday matches pay-per-view. The season runs from 28 August 2026 to 22 May 2027 — a week later than usual after the World Cup.

Watching the Bundesliga without problems
- Sign up the day before, not at kick-off. Account creation, card checks and the first app download all take minutes, and sign-up pages are at their slowest in the half hour before a big match.
- A steady connection beats a fast one. Each service publishes its own minimum speed for HD in its help pages, and 4K needs several times that. On Wi-Fi, sit near the router; on mobile data, set the app's quality before the match rather than during it.
- Streams run behind the TV broadcast. An app is often thirty seconds or more behind live TV and radio, so goal alerts from a score app can arrive before you see the goal — mute them for the ninety minutes.
- Plans cap how many screens play at once. The entry tier of most services allows one or two streams at the same time; check the plan before sharing an account in a household.
- Travelling changes what plays. Subscriptions are licensed per country. Inside the EU, the portability rules let residents use their home subscription while temporarily in another member state; outside it, expect the home app to be geo-blocked.
- Official apps only. Unofficial streams are unreliable, full of malicious ads and cut off mid-match. Every service on this page is the licensed holder in its own market.

Why do I need Sky and DAZN for the Bundesliga in Germany?
The 2025-29 rights are split by kick-off slot. Sky (or WOW) has every Friday and Saturday match; DAZN has the Saturday 15:30 conference and every Sunday match. Neither has the whole season on its own.
Is the Bundesliga really free in the United States?
